League FAQ

Straight answers for first-time hockey families.

The questions below cover the essentials parents usually need before registering: who can play, when games happen, what to bring, and how the league works.

Who can play?

The league is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 14. All skill levels are welcome, including players who have never played hockey before.

Does my child need ice hockey experience?

No. Ball hockey is played on foot with a ball and plastic blades, so it is designed to be a friendly entry point for new players.

When are games played?

Games are scheduled for Saturdays between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, with optional practice from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

Where does the league play?

Games are played at Gateway Pointe Elementary School in Gilbert, Arizona.

What equipment is required?

Players should bring a ball hockey stick and athletic shoes. A helmet is recommended.

How are teams formed?

Players are placed on evenly matched teams to promote fair play, development, and a strong team experience.
